Who will be at the New Mexico Women’s Market?

Our inaugural New Mexico Women’s Market is only 2 weeks away!

We hope to see you for this fun, empowering event on Saturday, May 4 from 9am-3pm at 805 Tijeras Ave NW in downtown Albuquerque. Below you’ll find our 2019 Vendor Guide about the variety of vendors who will be selling their wares at the market.

Crossroads for Women

At Crossroads for Women, we provide comprehensive, integrated services to empower women emerging from incarceration to build healthy, stable lives in our community. In addition to hosting the market, a collection of current clients, program alumni, and staff members will be selling a variety of handmade items.

Tenderlove Community Center

Tenderlove Community Center helps homeless, near homeless and low-income women, including survivors of domestic violence and  previously incarcerated women achieve stable, self-supporting lives for themselves and their families. Women from Tenderlove’s sewing curriculum will be selling their creations at the market.

Street Food Institute

Street Food Institute (SFI) is a non-profit organization of food service and business professionals dedicated to shaping a healthy, sustainable and creative food future across New Mexico. SFI helps people, including Crossroads clients, realize the dream of owning and operating a successful food-service business. One of the SFI food trucks will be selling delectable eats at the market.

LadyDistort Illustrations

My name is Andrea Garcia-Rodgers and I’m the artist behind LadyDistort Illustrations. I am an Albuquerque resident and just recently made the move to make art a career. I enjoy creating fantastical creatures inspired by the very real creatures that exist in our world already!

I am an artist from a long line of artists, a colorful thread woven among many generations. I graduated from Davidson College with a BA in Fine Arts, and I studied art in France for a season in my life. I have been married for 27 years, and have 5 amazing children. I spent most of my life in North Carolina, but now I am enjoying life in Albuquerque.

Desert Adorned

My name is Stephanie Stamp and I’m the one woman show behind Desert Adorned Jewelry. I picked up silversmithing 7 months ago and I haven’t been able to stop since! I haven’t taken any formal classes yet (just got the basics from my dad) so I am basically self taught, with YouTube and books from the library being super helpful. All my work is handmade by me with sterling silver, using a variety of stones but my favorites are definitely turquoise and amber!
