Enchanted Sugar

From the maker, Juliette: “Enchanted Sugar was created after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Like many other women, I started reading every label of every product that I put on my face, and products that I used in my home. I first started creating essential oil-based skin care products with ingredients I could pronounce.  I missed candles, so the next question became — how do I create a candle that a cancer survivor would burn in their home?”

“I spent 6 months researching the candle industry before I poured my first candle. We use the best American grown products, eliminate the chemicals, and use organic dried herbs and flowers, many locally grown. Simple ingredients that make extraordinary sweet-smelling candles.”

JMohr Studio

From the maker, Josie: “I combine humor and precise draftsmanship to create a style of artwork that is unmistakably my own. My images come from fairy tales, Southwest flora and fauna, cultural holidays and events, and everyday life. Many visual references as  well  as  imagination help create visually pleasing images  that tell a story.”

Melt: A glass art studio

From the maker, Brooke: “I’m an art educator and glass-fusing artist who loves melting glass. Layering colors to create depth in my work has been my focus for the last several years. However, as of late I’ve had fun sculpting my own molds for bowls and vases. Re-purposed glass has allowed me to find new uses for the common wine bottle and insulator caps. These have become fantastic conversation pieces for my customers.”

Meltdown Studio

From the maker, Lauren: “Ever since I was tiny, I wanted to make things, especially jewelry.  Clay, string, wire, anything. I followed this childhood fascination and landed in Albuquerque, NM where I identified a need for a co-working studio space that artists could use for their own production and educational needs. Meltdown Studio came to be in 2006, and it has evolved ever since. Meltdown Studio Jewelry is wearable documentation of all the things I have learned and loved along the way.”
