Thank you for supporting our summer 2020 virtual fundraisers and in-kind drives

COVID-19 has changed how we interact with each other and our community. To keep everyone safe, this summer we chose to discontinue our regular in-person events for the time being and pivoted to virtual fundraisers and modified in-kind supply drives.

We want to say thank you for your continued support as we all learn to navigate these uncertain times together. Even amidst a global pandemic, the Crossroads for Women mission moves forward because of people like you.

This summer we saw groups and individuals come together to support Crossroads through virtual fundraisers and in-kind drives, including:

Painting with a Purpose

Our second annual Painting with a Purpose event was held virtually this year but still proved to be an awesome night full of creativity with at-home painting kits.

In July, participants helped raise $350 for Crossroads. A special thank you to our Fundraising Committee and Painting with a Twist Albuquerque for hosting this virtual fundraiser.

Kendra Scott Shop for Good

Thank you to everyone who supported our Kendra Scott Shop for Good fundraiser in August. Shoppers helped raised $455 for Crossroads in a single weekend!

Back to School Supply Drive

Generous support from community members, including a $300 donation from Kathleen Sanchez, provided 143 backpacks filled with school supplies for the women and children in our programs. These supplies have helped our clients navigate the very different school year everyone is experiencing due to COVID-19.

A special shout out to our administrative assistant Tasha and intern Amanda for sorting and assembling all of the backpacks.

Hygiene, Cleaning, & Food Supply Drives

Several groups and individuals donated hygiene, cleaning, and/or food to help meet the needs of clients this summer, including:

Food is Free ABQ donated $200 worth of food to fill the food pantry at the downtown Crossroads.

ABQ Lodge #1517 Loyal Order of Moose donated $500 to purchase needed hygiene and cleaning supplies.

Melanie Trujillo donated $260 to purchase supplies along with $165 worth of toothbrushes, socks, and sheets.

Women Empowered organized a hygiene drive and donated $200 worth of supplies. – With the help of her mom and Girl Scout Troop 10770, Clara Stout organized a hygiene drive and donated $280 worth of supplies.

Albuquerque Involved organized two supplies drives and donated $450 worth of hygiene and cleaning supplies using our RightGift wish lists.

Stay tuned for our upcoming holiday giving opportunities! Information on how you can get involved will be released on Monday, October 12.
