Maya Angelou Book Drive: November 17 – December 1
This year we are celebrating our 20th year of serving women who are emerging from incarceration and/or homelessness. Crossroads currently provides services to over 100 women and their children.
Maya Angelou has been, for many years, a source of comfort to our clients. As many of you know, one of our therapeutic communities is named after Dr. Angelou: Maya’s Place.
We want to keep Dr. Angelou’s life-story and works a daily part of our clients’ lives. From November 17 – December 1, we are holding a book drive to collect new and used books by Dr. Angelou.
Requested Books:
- I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings: 100 copies
- And Still I Rise: 100 copies
- Gather Together In My Name: 25 copies
- Life Doesn’t Frighten Me: 25 copies
- Mom & Me & Mom: 25 copies
