The holidays are a busy time for everyone and the Crossroads community is no exception. If you’re looking for ways to give back to the community and make the holidays bright, browse our current opportunities below.

Holiday Volunteer Opportunities

  • When: 8am-2pm on Saturday, Dec 18
  • Where: Crossroads Village (239 Elm St NE)
  • What:
    • FOOD: We are looking for volunteers to purchase, prep, and serve snacks
    • PHOTO BOOTH: We are looking for volunteers to purchase, set up, and host a photo booth
    • ARTS & CRAFTS: We are looking for volunteers to purchase, prep, and host a holiday art activity

General Volunteer Opportunities

  • FRONT DESK: Help us greet folks as they walk in, take phone calls, and assist donors.
    • Time commitment: Tuesdays, 9am-2pm and Thursdays, 9am-5pm.
    • Candidate qualities: Looking for people who are quick learners, love interacting with others, comfortable multitasking, and enjoy working in a multifaceted environment.
  • HANDY PERSON: We are looking for a handy person to help with some basic maintenance jobs around the building: fix furniture that breaks, help us re paint rooms, replace light bulbs that go out, and other small maintenance tasks.
    • Time Commitment: This volunteer opportunity is a “call as needed” type of position.
    • Candidate qualities: We are looking for someone who is an independent worker, needs little supervision, and has a background in trade skills, repair work, or maintenance work for both interior and exterior jobs.
  • FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE MEMBER: Are you interested in fundraising? Join our dedicated team of volunteers who help spread the word about the work we do and help us host events to raise money for our mission.
    • Time commitment: Monthly evening meeting and help with multiple events throughout the year.
    • Candidate qualities: fundraising experience, great communication skills, friendly and willing to learn.
  • GROUP BUILDING PAINTERS: We are looking for folks to come help us get the last bit of painting done at our new location. We provide all materials and paint; we just need hands to make it happen!
    • Time Commitment: Most Saturdays 9am-1pm in November and December available. To be put on the schedule contact Dalilah at 505-382-1789 or email. Walk-ins not available.

Browse the wish list and purchase as many gifts as your budget allows by Friday, Dec 3. Your order will ship directly to us at Crossroads Village and then be wrapped before being distributed to community members at our holiday event.
