Longtime staff member Cory Lee named Executive Director at Crossroads for Women

The Crossroads for Women Board of Directors has named senior manager and longtime staff member Cory Lee as Executive Director. Lee, previously the Director of Therapeutic Services, has served as Interim Executive Director since October 2018.

“The Board of Crossroads for Women is extremely pleased that Cory Lee has accepted our offer of the position of Executive Director. Cory brings a range of skills that are uniquely suited to the position. We look forward to working with Cory to strengthen Crossroad’s capacity to serve formerly incarcerated women, extend services to women after they move on from our residential services, and help build a future where formerly incarcerated women have the opportunities they need to build a positive life for themselves and their families.”

Elizabeth McGrath, JD – Board President

Crossroads continues to grow and increase support for New Mexico women exiting incarceration. In March, Crossroads received additional funds from the Bernalillo County Community Connections program to more than double the number of women in their permanent supportive housing program. Last year Crossroads provided housing and therapeutic services to 192 women and 43 children.

Lee began her career at Crossroads in 2011 as a Case Manager. She has been instrumental in the organization’s development, including the expansion of services to Los Lunas with the opening of a new transitional housing program, The Pavilions, in May 2016. Lee served as a Program Director before becoming the Director of Therapeutic Services in 2017.

“I feel blessed to continue participating in the growth and journey of Crossroads. We strive to make sure every woman in New Mexico who comes in contact with us gets a smile and access to resources without feeling like she’s being shut down, shut out, or shut off. That really is our goal.”

Cory Lee, MA – Executive Director

Lee earned two bachelor’s degrees from the University of New Mexico and a master’s degree from Columbia University. She has over nine years’ experience empowering women and providing trauma-informed, gender responsive services.
