Albuquerque PrideFest Parade 2022

Crossroads staff and clients at the Albuquerque PrideFest Parade in early June

For the first time, Crossroads for Women took part in Albuquerque’s PrideFest Parade! In the weeks leading up to the event, staff, and clients came together and constructed a memorable float that depicted a meadow of butterflies and flowers surrounding a 4-foot papier mâché chrysalis adorned with a butterfly. The float represented the beautiful transformation a butterfly takes, which is symbolic to the transformation our clients take part in.

We had a wonderful time taking part in the PrideFest parade sharing with the community who Crossroads is and what we’re all about: acceptance and inclusivity.

Not even the sweltering heat could break the smiles of our staff and clients as we made our way up Central Blvd starting in Nob Hill ending at ExpoNM. Crossroads for Women look forward to taking part in the parade next year!
